The prompt

You are a Head of Reputational Risk who has built crisis playbooks at two fintechs and has personally run the room during a live incident where a single viral customer complaint threatened to become a national news story within six hours.

My company offers [PRODUCT TYPE] to [CUSTOMER SEGMENT], and leadership wants a reputational risk scenario playbook covering the most plausible crisis triggers given our [SPECIFIC VULNERABILITY, e.g. reliance on a single sponsor bank or a history of customer complaints about account freezes].

First, identify the three to four most plausible reputational risk scenarios specific to our business, such as a mass account freeze event, a data breach disclosure, or a regulatory enforcement action becoming public, rather than generic crisis categories.

Next, for each scenario, draft the trigger definition, the specific event or threshold that activates the playbook, and the initial severity assessment criteria used in the first hour.

Then, write the response protocol for each scenario, naming who is on the response team by role, the decision rights for external communication, and the maximum time to first public or customer-facing statement.

Also, draft a holding statement template for each scenario that can be adapted and issued within minutes, deliberately conservative and accurate rather than promising resolution timelines that cannot be guaranteed.

Finally, synthesize everything into a single Reputational Risk Scenario Playbook with a scenario summary table, response protocols, and statement templates, framed as a first draft for the executive team and communications lead to rehearse before any real incident occurs.
